what's a gully washer? = a heavy down pour of rain, the kind that comes to fast to just soak into the ground, so it runs where ever it can go. making gullys...lol

You all crack me up

GaDawg is right. To much rain at one time, in which the water takes the path of least resistance, therefore leaving a gully (where all the water ran off) and a lot of mud. About 3 inches of rain in 1 hour.

I went to pick more swtrawberries this morning and when I stepped down next to the berries.....my foot sank 4 inches and I just about lost my shoe.

Hubby to me to back away from the garden. hehehe We are actually getting more rain right now.
