Thought the chick was dead but.....

when I opened it, it was still alive. Today is hatch day and I had given up on all 12 of my Maran eggs, because I could see the light through the bottom of the eggs. All but one egg. I opened the others and yes they had all died very early. I am guessing due to the fact of the still air lg and my first time hatching. The last one I opened was alive. I didn't break the membrane covering the chick just the shell. I covered it with a damp paper towel. My question is does it stand a chance and is there anything else I can do for it?

Thanks, me too. I have been trying to get some Marans for 2 years and this will be my only one if it hatches. I may just break down and order some day old chicks next year.
