Thoughts on Freedom Rangers - temperment?

Hi. I am about ready to order some Colored Range Chicks / Freedom Rangers. I was wondering about their temperment though. My intent is to put them in a 12x12 stall near the horses, and the pile is on the other side of that barn. I want to allow them to free range as they like, having the 12x12 stall as a safe area for them, where I will put the feed and water, some low roost bars. My concern, will they get mean like the layer roos? Or are they finished before they get that mature??
I have 2 childern that have been attacked by our layer roo. (after a few kicks from me and the children being more aware of where he is, that has not been a problem since.) I don't want there to be a problem with a bunch of free ranging roos attacking things. lol.

(I understand that we could "pasture" them, but tell ya the truth, we are not going to build a "tractor" to drag around, tried that, we all find it to be too much of a hassle, lol.)

I don't know what I have exactly but some of them look like FR's and they are very mild only 4 weeks right now and I have them in a 12x12 stall too. I plan on not letting mine go past 16 weeks they are twice as big as the DP's right now that are the same age.I have some Dellies that are very nice too not mean at all they are 10 weeks. Maybe you need a different Roo? Mine dig around but are not as active as the Dellies either.

I had two Ranger roos last summer that got to around 16 weeks. Neither was ever aggressive. They ran around with the layer flock. There was also a Delaware cockerel with them that seemed to be the dominant male -- there was no older rooster -- though there was never any fighting. Small sample size.

A friend of mine had a big ole boy last summer, and it was very mild temperament. When I say mild, she would pick up the chickenzilla (really, the biggest rooster I have ever seen) with ease and pet it, love on it, & walk around with it, and it never seemed to mind one bit.
I think I want to order some too; maybe this weekend. I’ve been wanting to try them out myself, and a friend of mine just said he would go in on an order, so I guess I have nothing to lose.

I'll add that the Ranger cockerel that lasted the longest (about 18 weeks as I recall) was nicknamed Jumbo, he dressed out at over 8 pounds. He would get into the shed every night, but not into the coop portion of the shed. My kids (11 and 13 at the time) liked to pick him up and move him inside -- there was never any danger of him making any protest.
