I have a pet silkie that lives indoors with me. As a matter of fact, she's laying down on my chest while i lay in bed typing this out. I have the feed you're asking about on autoship from chewy & it's one of the best chicken feeds I've fed my birds. When she gets tossed out of the bed in the morning to go eat & do her business, i can hear her scarfing down in her area. She really enjoys it. When she's not broody her eggs are consistent & beautiful. Nice shell & perfectly yellow yolk. I am pleased with the price & especially that my Noodles actually loves this food. When she had first come home i had a different food that she didn't much care for. I'm glad i found this one. Hope that is helpful. Good luck to you. :0)I've been looking around for some low-cost USDA-Organic convenient feed options.
Looking online I found "Kalmbach Organic Harvest Omegga Layer Pellets Chicken Feed" on Chewy. It is fairly inexpensive at about ~1 USD per pound.
Have any of you tried it with your chickens? What are your thoughts?
I haven't really used anything other than Nutrena. Is there anything I need to look out for?
