Thoughts on Reclaimed Old Wood

Well what my game plan is after looking at what I have to work with. Neighbor who moved out of one of my land lords homes left 150 foot of hex wire. Landlords wife gave it to me lol. The landlord said I could use all the Lumber that is laying around for firewood. Well I'm thinking maybe not

.

What I'm wanting to do is build a big coop/run for all my laying hens for the eggs that will be consumed/sold etc etc.

Then I want to use the coops I built from purchased materials for my Heritage/Ornamental Breeds . I plan on trying to hatch those eggs.

I am all about RRR - Reduce, Reuse & Recycle, however, it appears I am the only one who cares what my neighbors think. And I do care about the impact of a "tacky" coop makes on my street. Safety and care first, yes. But, my community relations are important to us too.

Reclaimed coops - or anything recycled - ROCK and can be jazzed up with a litlle creativity. It'll be awesome when you are done, I'm sure

Well neighbors are mainly the landlords family lol and they don't really care it's the folks at the end of the road that are the ones I'm worried about. If they feel it's an eyesore here come the county deputies. Where I plan on putting it should me mostly out of sight.
SO all should be good . Now back outside to gather up materials
