Thoughts on this cockerel's color?

This cockerel was hatched sometime in the beginning of November. At first I thought it was a pullet because he feathered in like a female wheaten with a slightly darker tint. His comb never pinkened until recently either. About two weeks ago I was looking at the juveniles and noticed that there were saddle feathers growing in and that his comb was turning pink. I checked for hackles coming in and those were growing in as well.

I'm assuming he's some variation of wheaten or has some leakage going on in his feathers at the moment, but since I don't know exactly what's going on I can't google for similar chickens. His father is wheaten but I don't remember who's egg he hatched from.

It could be he's going to be partridge. He's already quite pretty!
