I stumbled across a post where a breeder is rehoming this rooster.
For those who own and breed them, how good does he look?

I need to know because I have another breeder I've been speaking to about getting chicks from them in spring and will need a good breeding rooster.

He’s not the best but he’s is definitely not a terrible rooster he’d be good to start with and work your way to show quality or what ever your goal is. Do you know the quality of the parent stock of the second breeder? You could always get him and if a cockerel from the second breeder is better you could sell him.

Yeah, the second breeder has better stock but they never give away any of their cockerels. They use them for breeding or butcher.

Sorry I should of specified what I meant. I meant if you got chicks from the breeder you could end up with a cockerel so he could potentially be better than this older rooster if you decide to get the older rooster.

Unfortunately the second breeder is able to sex them right after hatching so they always ensure customers only get females.
