Thread for drone owners.

It was a DJI air 3 I keep it on my fireplace as the wall of shame lol
Sometimes DJI will fix them for a decent price.
I've had one drone crash hard (entirely my fault, cheap piece of junk mixed with stupid idiot flying in a narrow area=crash) and another cheapy $20 drone (which got me into the hobby) fly away.

Crashed mine into a windmill
I feel you. I haven't flown my phantom since I crashed it into a tree and ripped the whole gimball off. By the time I had time to fix it, the battery pack was dead and I just didn't see putting time or money into it after the regulations changed. Not worth getting a 107 to me.

You don't need a Part 107 to fly it for recreation. Which is how I fly mine.

(and man, I hate all these regulations on EVERYTHING! makes me paranoid taking off anywhere.)

Thought it changed and anything over 250 grams was required to have a part 107 now. I haven't looked and am definitely NOT up on current regs.

As of right now, you only have to pay $5 to register a drone over 250g, and you need to have a Remote ID module on it. You also need to take a test in order to fly any drone (no brains needed). And follow any and all laws. That's it. At least for recreation.
