I've decieded I would like to get an incubator for my birthday. After going thru diffrent prices, capacity, etc..
I have come up with three diffrent choices. Please share your experince with them, and if you recomend anything else.
These are in random order.

1.

This is the cheapest incubator of the lot, and I've heard good results with these bators.
2.

IMO, the Brinsea is a easy incubator with all it's technology, egg cradle etc..

I thought this could be a really intersting tool to use, for egg inspection.
The other (larger) R-com bators are way to expensive for me.

Thanks in advance and having a look.

I have not used either of those incubators. I chose the Genesis Hovabator 1588 over the Brinsea, mostly because of price. I don't need the volume of the larger one and I am only going to hatch with mine a couple of times a year. If I were doing a hatch a month, I would have probably gone with the Brinsea.

I think you would be happier with a turner that you did not have to turn manually. They may call that one semi-automatic, but if you have to turn it manually, it is not automatic. Sometimes I get busy and might forget. Sometimes I am away from the house all day. It is nice that turning is taken care of automatically.

Good luck!!!

I absolutely LOVE my Novital Covatutto 24, have just purchased the 54 too. Automatic turning. Simply plug in, add water, add eggs, check water every four days, turn off turner at 18 days, add a small second tray of water beneath the eggs (not included) and hey presto, perfect incubator. Love mine. Plus, the air vents are big enough for a small silicone tube (that I have an syringe that fits into) to add water if needed after day 18. I tend to put a sponge on the egg tray under a vent and drible water on it during hatch before I open the bator to remove chicks.

Are you referring to the Brinsea? As I understood the OP they were going to get it with cradle and all if they opted for this one. If you choose to buy the Octagon 20 with autoturn cradle the turning IS automatic. The cradle is an external fixture that will rock the whole machine from side to side regularly.

I have two Brinseas (Octagon 20 and Octagon 20 advance) and love them. They are so easy to use and there's hardly any work left for you to do other than monitor temperature and humidity, and add water regularly (unless you buy with humidifyer as well in which case you can just lean back and wait for chickens to pop out

The Advance I just had my first hatch with. It kept an even temperature all through the incubation process. It even has an alarm so that you will see whether there has been any temperature loss over time.
