Hi! Our three male ducks ( khaki Campbell and two rouens) need rehoming. We had two separate flocks a year ago, and we trying to integrate them into one, then one of the boys females passed away. They finally went into one flock, but now they are hurting our other male Indian runner. We have asked around, but no one wants them. Would anyone like them?

Have you tried separating your Indian runner at night, @Duckduckchicken32 ? You may find life becomes more amicable.

I have an all male flock and they do squabble but get to a liveable arrangement once pecking order is established. I found -- with advice from @Miss Lydia, that having them sleeping in individual dog crates inside the coop helped enormously. Because of the configuration of my coop, I cannot easily partition it, but I can get in three medium dog crates. I actually currently have 2 medium and one large dog crate in there as two pekin drakes are sharing the large crate. Those are the two that were initially in idividual medium crates -- in April. Within 2 months, they have graduated to sharing a larger crate. I rescued 2 more pekin drakes 4 weeks ago, and they are pulling out neck feathers on each other, and so they are now sleeping in the separate medium crates in the coop. My two muscovy drakes are coping with reduced coop area -- one roosts on top of a crate, and so I placed a piece of plywood on top of it so the muscovy can't poop on poor pekin below!!

My original 4 drakes free range during the day; the two new rescues share a pen separate from the other 4 during the day. It is the individual sleeping arrangements that have made the peace. You might find trying separate sleeping arrangements easier than rehoming 3 drakes

Thanks for your advice! Sadly they pick on all of the girls as well. :( We tried separating them in a big pen for outside time (the Indian Runner and his girls in the cage) but the boys ran up to the cage and was grabbing the runner through the grate. We also tried putting the mean boys in the pen, but the Indian runner runs up to them and starts a fight. We can not get another coop right now, and the boys are sleeping in the garage. Having only a few girls might be part of why they are being crazy.

Here is the boys.
