three easter eggers - pullet or cockerel?

I'm thinking you may have sex linked Olive eggers. If you have a pure Ameraucana rooster over cuckoo Marans hens you could get chicks as you have. The first bird, being barred and having light legs, would be male. The second and third, being solid with dark legs, would be female. You might ask the seller if that's the case....

i'll try to get a photo to illustrate, but blue, my silver easter egger has got two conflicting signs - salmon colour on the wings, but a colourful 3-pea comb! oliver, the barred cockerel, has distinct rust red fathers on his shoulders to demonstrate the difference...but the three-pea-comb has worried me. not a chance with the salmon shade, is that right?

here you go - the two easter eggers that were declared female three weeks ago, now at 8 weeks. still a pair of pullets?

I don't know how much stock I put into the three row pea comb/one row pea comb theory. I had eggs from all three of these EE's every day this week......to me that's the charm (and the aggravation at times) of EE's. Just when I think I have it figured out, I get a curve ball.

blue is the bird just right of centre (oliver is blue's brother, second from left, and the little black easter egger, robin, their sister, next to him, left of centre.



on the far left, blue is behind oliver.
