Hi everyone I already learned my Araucanas are Easter Eggers..my Andalusian is easy to identify but hopefully someone can identify the smaller unknown breed and possibly its sex. These are pictures I already had, if I need to shoot some closer ones I will and add on to the post

thanks in advance

It's definitely a pullet, roosters don't come in that color.

Maybe a game bird of some variety. She's a cute little thing!

yes definitely cute and she definitely is a character. The Andalusian will come right up and eat from my hand with the little one not far behind...the Easter Eggers are a little skittish when the hatch on the run is open. I can't wait until they are just a little larger and I can let them roam the yard and garden. We have three cats and they are already changing the stares from "mmmm those will make a great lunch" to "wow what the heck is that"

my only worry about free ranging the yard is that I am an urban chicken outlaw...they're not allowed here. Both side neighbors agreed they don't have a problem with it and the ones behind me are really nice so I don't think they'll have a problem....as long as the girls don't fly over the block walls. I have seen videos on youtube about trimming the feathers on one wing so they can't fly straight, is this an accepted practice that doesn't hurt the birds in any way?

I've never trimmed feathers myself, but from my understanding it's a painless, good way to control flight. I've heard doing one side is more effective, but again have never done it myself.

that's how the youtube videos explained it...you just trim the tips so there isn't any nerves or anything touched and only one wing....if they can't control the flight they won't fly too far. Sounds great to me but I just wanted to make sure its an accepted practice
