Buy a rooster, hatch the eggs and sell these "high production" chicks-- there will be a market because no one else has chickens that do this. It's a great chance to improve the breed and make some $.

She did it again today, and I watched her do it! Gonna start keeping records and see if a pattern emerges. Once again, she waited four days, then laid three eggs at once. Whassupwithischicken?

Wow! Some bird! I have an EE that will lay 2 in a day but only once in a while.

Really tho I would kind of worry about her...... I mean could she lay herself to death? Or, I don't know have a problem starting?

I was reading a Blog by a woman who worked at a chicken ranch for a few years while in college, and she said 2-eggs-a-day chickens were not all that uncommon, and there were even a few 3 egg-a-day chickens, but they were pretty rare, and 4 eggs-a-day chickens were unheard of.

When I posted about my chicken laying 2 eggs a day, a really snippy woman came on and said it wasn't possible, that a hen could lay onely one egg per day, and she tried to make me out to be a liar/jokester. I was so glad when KimClain provided the academic research that confirms these chickens do exist. That hateful snip had to eat crow. :>)

No one is pulling your leg! Chickens are well documented to lay two eggs in a day and while three in a day is rare is certainly DOES happen. don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
