Three month old Sumatra….. roo????

I’m going to GUESS he’s a boy based on his tail and zooming in on what saddle feathers he has and they appear to be pointed as a pullet would be rounded they hold their tails a little higher but these are the hardest breed to sex, after talking to other breeders the only fool proof way is to wait until they’re four or five months old….you have no idea how many times I was told to hurry up and wait lol …. Again this is just a guess but either way a lovely bird!
Tails mean nothing at 6 weeks. Only works on fast maturing chicks.

Here’s the original bird I’m saying roo

Sumatra are easiest to sex at young ages by behavior and posture. The feathers are very lush on both breeds and won't be useful for sexing until a few months have passed
What would some examples be of "male" behavior and posture vs "female" for this breed? It seems like they can have different individual personalities that might confuse that issue?

Males typically are more confident and carry themselves with a distinctive upright posture. I have a bunch of 6 month old Sumatra running around right now and from a distance the only way I can recognize the roosters is from their posture
