I have four Black Australorps and they now have wing feathers. The lady said they were two weeks old and I've had them for a week now. I've been hand feeding them at times ant they're getting tame. I'm keeping them in my downstairs bathtub, and the strongest on FLEW UP and perched on the edge of the tub to greet me when I came in! I had no idea they'd fly around like that so soon!! I may have to cover the tub with netting or something, I guess.

yeah, when mine were three weeks old I used to find them perched on top of the heat lamp!!!!
Its quite freaky how fast they grow -- - - take lots of pics, or you'll miss the cute and fluffy stage!!!

Hey Jeffomatic- glad to see I'm not the only one keeping chicks in my tub! And, yes, my three week olds are flying out, too. Time to put the cover over it to keep them from flying in the toilet! Nothing like DS saying "Mom, there's a chicken in the toilet again" Thankfully, that seldom happens and no one has drowned. Good luck with your babies!
Liz
