Next month marks 1 year of my life as a hen Mom! I’m still unsure about alot of things. I still need to build their coop, the temporary one has been working ok, but I want to give them my best! My Wyandotte still hasn’t been fully accepted by the RIR but she’s managed herself in the flock with minimum injury. This month I tried to fodder but it was an epic fail. However, my sprouting has been very good!! The girls notice me and know who I am🥰 I’ve remained loyal to Scratch and Peck organic feed since starter, no reason to fix what isn’t broken. For the most part I think they are healthy and happy. The 15 hens have been consuming 80 lbs of feed in a month. This is in addition to fresh produce randomly, free ranging daily & yogurt with cottage cheese and fresh berries on occasion. I sprout a cup of hard seeds in a 24 oz jar , 4 day process. On the day I give them this they don’t get their regular feed. The cup of hard seeds turns into a trough full of nutrition that they love!
Thank you all again and again for helping me thru this process of being a responsible hen-mom!!! I hope you’ll enjoy my recent pics of my beautiful girls!!

My brother, son, sister and her adult daughter all have traveled to Hawaii and loved it.
Brother and son(mine) have Island hopped etc. and loved it. I don't do cruises, or airplanes,, etc. If I could have walked to Hawaii I certainly would have. Closest I have come is the DVD I bought of the late (great bruddah) Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. Iz had the voice of an angel.

Also bought two IZ t-shirts because I was afraid I'd wear one out and have none. My son has added my favorite IZ songs to my cell phone so I can listen whenever I want. I hate the cell phone but love the music. Son also added it to my computer.
