Thunderstorm Killed my Duckling :(

We had a sever Thunderstorm this morning around 4am. I went up to my barn at 8am to let my Ducks and Chickens out into their fence, and I found my week and 2 day old duckling laying dead beside his mother. I blocked Mama Peepers off so no other duck or chicken could distrub her so I know Daddy Dominic had nothing to do with it.

thats TERRIBLE !! We had some bad thunderstorms the past few weeks and a huge branch fell into the pen and got my Drake in the foot. He is healing, but you never know. We are having a bad thunderstorm now and I am paranoid. They are in the house locked up now, so they are protected.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Do you think momma accidently trampled baby? Honestly, I don't know what you could have done to prevent it.

It's so said to lose our babies.
