Thursday was my lucky day!

So I have 25 3 week old started roosters from the Meyer Fry Pan Bargain that are all doing well. I also ordered 20 Cornish Cross and 8 BBW turkeys that arrived Thursday. For some reason, no idea why, the feed store where I ordered the CornishX and BBW did not get any other turkey orders but still had to order 15 total birds. Since no one was interested in the other turkeys I got 7 more BBW turkeys at a discounted rate (1/2 what I paid for the first 8). Over the moon happy about that.

I saw 2 turkeys at the feed store the other day. This store usually only does turkeys, ducks, etc on special so they weren't for sale as far as I could tell. But this tiny little turkey drops his little wingtips to the ground and did his best to display to the other one!!!

I was so surprised, had no idea that they displayed for each other at that young age. Figured they had to sexually mature for that, it was super cute though.

Same here usually the turkeys are only there because someone bought them and will be coming to pick them up. Last year they had a list of back order people if people backed out on birds. This year they had to order 15 and I was the only one to order 8 so 7 extras for me at 1/2 price. We lost one because we had a power outage and they got cold but other than that they are all doing great.
