How much do I put in a gallon of water for the chickens and newly hatched chicks and how often? Will Tiamulin (Denagard) keep the chicks from getting CRD???

The dose for treatment is 8cc per gallon of water. The dose for prevention of MG is 4cc per gallon of water for one week once per month. If MG is a problem in your flock, I would probably put them on the prevention. If not, it's probably not necessary.

WARNING: It makes the water very bitter. When you add it to the water, add some Karo Syrup to counteract the bitterness and they will drink the water better.

thank you ..... what do you think about the warning ? Does this mean not to give it to baby chicks on Medicated Start and Grow?

and I quote

"Special Precautions and Warnings
Do not administer the ionophore anticoccidials salinomycin, monensin or narasin to poultry and pigs receiving therapeutic doses of DENAGARD. Pigs and poultry should not receive products containing ionophores during or for at least seven days before or after treatment with DENAGARD. "
