Tibetan or range?

Is this a normal Tibetan or is it a range (Tibetan roux)? It was a solid black chick with black feet and yellow eyebrows. It is a hen.

Looks normal Tibetan to me. The description of black chick with black feet makes me think so even more.

Thanks, still having trouble differentiating the EB birds. Have 2 Rosetta’s, one Tibetan, one Tibetan fee (grau), one scarlet and a Blau. Nothing like a little variety!

Hey there I was looking for info on in this too... I have a couple of these beauties in my flock and was wondering the same. This one like the camera the others not so much... Can we tell the difference in male and female by the speckles with theses... Mine doesn't have black feet though, they were bought with courtinx, could they be something else?

It’s coturnix for sure, and extended brown (EB) which you can’t feather sex. A Rosetta is heterozygous and a tibetan is homozygous for the EB gene. My bird had black feet at hatch but they are brown/red now. I believe Tibetans have black feather shafts while Rosettas have red/brown which yours does so it is a Rosetta of some stripe. A roux bird (scarlet) won’t have much barring, it is mostly a vibrant red color. A fee or grau bird will be grayish with little red. Yours has lots of red and significant barring so I’d say just a plain Rossetta. You’ll have to vent sex it.

Thank you for that Info, after watching a few YouTube videos on how to vent I believe they're both females.... And excitingly I have more females in my flock than I originally thought... So I moved them around and swapped to an egg laying food and hoping for better results.... By any chance do the Rosetta's have to be kept separate from the others

No reason to keep any color separate unless breeding for something specific, though breeding silver to silver can be problematic as homozygous silver birds often have issues or don’t survive.
