Ticks, how to get rid of them?

Besides having guinea fowl are there any other ways to get rid of ticks. My husband and I live on 7 acres and it's tick season. Last year I had a couple of guinea fowl. However, got rid of them because they were way to loud. Are there any other ways to get rid of ticks? If so please let me know what methods you use besides guineas to get rid of ticks.
