Ticks on skin....OK to eat?

I have only processed chicken once before. Today I found out which one of my laying hens was eating eats, so I culled her out. After plucking she had about 20-25 ticks clinging to her skin. I have removed all the skin, but is it still OK to eat her?

"Ticks on skin... ok to eat?" Add a little salt and pepper, very quick saute in butter, they should be fine.

The meat will be fine if the tick had Lyme disease and if it got transferred to the chicken heat will kill it during the cooking process.

25 ticks, whoa that's a lot.

I think its fine to eat, but EWWWWW. Like everyone else said I'm surprised the chickens didn't eat them.
