No. It was a proxy war between China/USSR and the West using as its excuse conflict between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea. Smashing to pieces someone else's country doesn't constitute policing.
Wow you need to take some history classes. The United Nations voted to use military force against the N. Koreans. and it was widely called a police action. Many nations sent troops to fight in Korea

They can call it what they like and use any excuses they like but is was a trial of arms and military strength between the West and the main Communist bloc. using Korea as the battleground. I know that many nations were involved, that's why I referred to 'The West'.

So you consider South Africa, Turkey, Philippines, Ethiopia, and yes even Thailand as being The West ?

Western powers provided most of the means and manpower. My stating that it was a war with Western powers doesn't exclude the involvement of other nations. The Philippines and Thailand would have been told to get involved by their military paymasters.

Are you splitting hairs again to divert the discussion?

Just showing another example of you leaving out facts but always including conjecture or theories.
What is a discussion without facts ?

And the Koreans provided most of the man power on the United Nations side.

The involvement of small foreign forces because of pressure from the major Western powers does not detract from the fact that the Korean War was between China/USSR and the Western powers. There was no other purpose for it and the legacy has been decades of problems for North and South Korea.
