Unfortunately it's not always as easy as just not going on it. I've had several struggles over the years on different platforms, even this one, with my mental health. At the same time, as much as you know what the end result will be, it still tries to draw you back in.

While that is true, it still in my opinion should not cause a ban for everyone. Just because some people struggle with it doesn't mean the rest of the country should pay for that.

Loads of people have an Alexa or a Siri that listens to everything they say. And the vast majority of people have cell phones and they absolutely listen into your conversations.

They definitely listen. People talk about certain topics and then have ads pop up for those topics all the time. But you can disable the mic and/or listening privileges as well as targeted ads on most apps

Oh wow that’s wild!!!!!!!!! Recently at the Clubhouse, one of the staff members had his watch listen to him when he was talking to someone else and pull up something about a person it thought he was asking about (he wasn’t talking about a person but a similar sounding word). So then he jokingly was like stop listening to me!!!!!!!!! And the dang watch legit put a message on the screen about how “I respect your privacy and only listen when you’re talking to me” or something like that which was CLEARLY not true LOL so yeah. They definitely listen. To the point of being creepy!!!!!!

They use a different type, don't they, specially made? I'd honestly be surprised if it weren't in some part sourced from China, nearly everything is nowadays, even things that definitely shouldn't be.
And unfortunately, anything can be hacked by someone.
