time between first and 2nd egg

I have three RIR. on 05/06, I got my first egg (small, but good). how long usually do I have to wait for the 2nd egg come? I assume my 2nd and 3rd hen should start lay soon (all three of them are about 5.5 month old)?

They should lay every 24 hours, if it falls after dark, they will hold the egg til the sun comes up.....but not all breeds lay every day!

My RIR started to lay about 5 1/2 mos. A egg here, one there. When they hit about 7 mos was when I would get an egg a day. I have 8 hens. I average 6-7 eggs a day, a few days a month I will get only 5 or 8.
