So I tried to not water on Sunday. The plants look better than they would have if I've watered.

I'm confused.. and hope to get other insight from others on this. Do plants NEED time between waterings with no water to be there? Do they do better this way? I would have thought that they'd sometimes do better with plenty of water always around. But it seems... well going too far between waterings is bad, but if there's some time between the waterings does this make them think they have to stretch and grow more?

What do you think?

If you water too often, you can get root rot. They store water in their leaves and roots, therefore they don't need water everyday. Feel your ground, about an inch or two down. Is it dry? Then go ahead and water. If it's damp or wet, then wait to water. The plants should tell you when they need water, not the other way around

Really depends on many things, but unless you are growing rice in a rice paddy, too much water leads to fungal problems.

Yesterday, I was surprised that my plants needed water -they were wilty, even the more tolerant ones. It had only been 1.6 days since I watered, followed by a decent rain storm.
