TIME SENSITIVE -Brower Brooder question...pipping today!!!

Someone let me borrow a Brower Model 1680-2 Brooder because I am all full up and have guineas pipping today! I have never used this kind of brooder before and I would like to know if the bar that goes across the unit inside that has the light bulb fixture also has a heating element inside it. It is hard for me to tell and I don't know if I should put a 100w light bulb in the fixture or if that is just for an "attracting" light bulb of low wattage.

Yes I know it has seen better days, but it is better that nothing and should do the job just fine. I will be looking for a good used brooder in the future so I don't have to frantically search the area for one.

I got one of those to. well actually borrowing like you. I didnt use the center bar and lights becuase it has a short in it and shocked the daylights out of out of the people that own it. I just got another lamp and set it down inside of it . works good that way for me anyway. Good luck
