I acquired 2 coops and 10 hens a couple of years ago. They lay various colors of eggs. I’m retiring soon and need advice as how to best let them go as I will be moving before too long. They all have names and are friendly and I’m going to miss ‘em. I would like them to at least stay together with their coop mates but I realize that is probably a stretch to hope for. I have 7 in one coop and 3 in the other. I have one Azure who stopped laying a couple months ago but everyone else is laying fine. What do you guys think?

Welcome to the forum, glad you joined. Just wish it were for some other reason.

Go on this forum's "Buy-Sell-Trade" section and post an ad. Include your location in the thread title so you might attract the attention of the people you want.

Find your State or Country thread in the "Where am I? Where are you!" section of this forum and chat with your neighbors.

Talk to the people at your feed store. They might know someone or they may allow you to post a notice on their bulletin board.

If you are in the USA contact your local County Extension office and chat with them. They are often involved in 4-H, county fairs, and could know quite a bit about local auctions and shows.

Look for a local facebook group about chickens. Many locations have them.

If you are in the USA put an ad on Craigslist. Many places outside of the USA have similar opportunities.
