Time to post

I would suggest you join a local beekeeping Club the year prior to wanting to get the bees that way you can learn the beekeeping year. Especially what you need to do to prep for winter because a lot of bee hives die through the winter. And you start a beehive in the spring not in the summer and this is what joining a club will help you understand. And it can also save you money from costly mistakes.

Is there a website that may help in direction someone to a local bee keeping club? Any other website recommendations?

Hello Bald Bee Man. Glad you decided to join us. I've considered keeping bees too, but need more types of plants, and trees on this property to sustain them. It's a work in progress. I've got chickens, though. Anyway, welcome.
