Well, my 30 some odd chicks will arrive in two weeks, so I think it may be time to start on the chicken house

We have pretty much decided a plan for the house, but are still uncertain about the yard. The house will be 12x12 with a roofed "deck" of the same dimensions for rainy days. The yard will be about 25x25 and covered to keep out our "friendly" neighborhood hawks. We would like to know what you all use/suggest for fencing materials, both wire and posts. I am told we have weasles, martins, and mountain lion as well as racoon, opossom, skunk, and fox

I guess it comes with living along a river in the middle of the woods.

Thanks for your help!
