Time travel theories; what do you think?

What are all of your theories on time travel? Is it possible? Is it safe? Is it already happening under our very noses? Looking foreward to your opinions on the matter!

Here is my theory: Even if time travel were possible, we could never do anything with it. I.E. If you wanted to go back in time to prevent world war II, you would go back and change whatever needed changing, then come back to the present. In the new present, there was no world war II, and therefore there was no reason to stop it. So then It wasn't stopped. So everything happened just the way it did before you went back in time, no matter how many times you tried to prevent or create and event. This applies to both past and future, because in my opinion, time is like an unchangeable, predetermined line that cannot be rearranged, created, or destroyed.

My sister has another theory involving alternate dimensions in time space.

What are your ideas?

Changing one thing whether in the past or future will alter so many things that you never thought would be effected. We learn from our past, by fixing the past, we have no idea it even happened and we can't learn from it.

Hi! I'm late, but want to start it up again.

I think that if you change the past it alters the future and vise versa. For example, if you went to stop WWII, and you stopped it, maybe you/your parents/your grandparents wouldn't be here because they were one of the babies born in celebration of the war ending.

Also, if there are two of you in one period of time, I think the whole thing would go KABOOM.

I think teleportation is on its way, but time travel?!? I don't think of time as a material thing, or a piece of paper following us, but more as a fluid thingamabob. Soooo... that kinda makes it impossible to try to "scribble of the past with a crayoon". Haha!!
