Tin/metal feeders

I have two large tin feeders/waters for the chicken when they are old enough but in Arizona where it reaches 120f I am afraid of burning the chickens or the food heating up.
Has anyone had problems using these?

I would figure you could put them under a shelter or in the coop so the sun wouldn't heat them up so bad.
