Tin roofs

Up until last summer we had a tin roof on our house...the problem with ours was that it got old and started to leak so now we have shingels...but I really miss the sounds of the rain and the wind on the tin roof...It could be almost deafning at times but it was wonderful!

Something else that could help deaden the sound are supports running perpendicular to the roofing metal. If the metal is attached to these supports it has less room to move/vibrate with the impact of the rain/wind/whatever.
