tiniest chick ever! dwarf?

With my itty bitty fuzzy butt the other chicks would not accept her she was not allowed to eat or drink when they did they made her do it alone, they also wouldn't let her sleep with them, so guess who gets to sleep in my top bib pocket? lol

When we have the weak or special birds we can only hope and try they will live and thrive.

Sorry to hear that. I have a dwarf OEGB chick myself right now. I got her from the feed store, and I specifically picked her because of how tiny she was. She's over a month old and she's hardly bigger than the chicks born on April 1st.

We got 6 little bantams from the feed store last week. My daughter picked one little runt out cuz it was so little and cute. I started to tell her no, dont pick a runt, it might not make it. Well, it was her favorite but my premonition was true. It didnt make it thru the first nite even thou it looked fine everytime I check on them. She was heartbroken and cried all day at school. So we know how you feel. Sad to lose the little fellas.

Thanks. I just wish I knew for sure that there was nothing else I could have done for her. It was so hard to wake my daughter up and tell her her little fave chick was dead. Raising chicks is bittersweet sometimes...

My little Penny has passed too, found her curled up in the corner of the brooder, I had a feeling she was suffering, she peeped constantly and was looking for comfort from me and the other chicks constantly =( Hope everyone is doing alright with their losses!
