We moved our little Modern Game broody hen inside to a nice brooder because we felt the weather has been too cold out for the chicks to hatch outside.

We did it as carefully as possible, but this upset her and she didn't set on them for the night, and I know they went cold. Now this morning, I wake up to find her setting again, just like nothing happened.

Do you think the eggs are dead now?

Don't fret- this happens, and I've experienced how it can make no difference, even in cold weather. Just keep an eye on her for the rest of the brooding time.

These Modern Game Bantams are sooo tiny! Silly looking little things with the tiny bodies and long legs, but they're friendly and adoreable. The eggs are surprisingly large compared to their size. I've never even had a normal sized hen hatch eggs yet.....I sure do hope they hatch...

Thanks for the encouraging words,
Sharon
