I've only had my poultry for just over a month and I can see why people get so addicted. I've been finding my chicks highly entertaining to watch, especially since I put my chicks and my ducklings together. One of the funniest things I think I've seen in my life is a tiny, bossy Araucana run at my group of seven ducklings almost 3 times their size and scare them off the scrambled egg I was dishing out. They all seem to get along well now, but that first day or two, the ducklings were just ruled by little bossy boots. Still no idea of sex of my chicks, they're still too young but I'm looking forward to finding out what I have. Pictured are my 2 Araucana chicks, my New Hampshire chick, and my Buff Sussex chick, along with 4 of my seven ducklings.
I'm thinking of rechristening the black Araucana to 'Napoleon' if it turns out to be a Roo, as there definitely seems to be a little man complex going on
