Yup, some birds never quite get to the average egg size that the breed is known for. My SF has laid pullet sized eggs for 3 years, but they are rather useful at times. Halving a recipe and trying to figure out what counts as "half" an egg? Just pop in one of hers! That's what I was thinking! I have a nearly 1 year old pullet that is still laying eggs smaller than those (coincidentally, she's also one of the largest chickens of the flock). I call it "Big Wheezy's little egg".
