Tiny duckling cries for me

My new Duckling cries for me to hold it and tries to jump out to get to me...it cries when I’m not around..any idea why it does this? The other duckling doesn’t do it just the small one. My other duckling I’ve had in the past never did this.

No, I just got it yesterday and it kept crying and trying to jump out of the box to get to me so I picked it up and it just fell asleep in my hands. Every time I walk away it cries and tries to jump out. But when I hold it it’s fine. Haha

Does it have a heat lamp? It's probably cold and you're not supposed to have just oneggshells chick or duck, they imprint and get super clingy. Get something to keep it warm, and a mirror or stuffed toy for company and leave it alone.

they have a heat lamp and there’s 2 of them. The other duckling is fine. Only the one keeps crying for me. I’ve have ducklings before and they never did this.

There’s 2 ducklings in there and a heat lamp. He just wants me to hold him
