New layer?
No, she’s been laying for a few months now. I’m trying (unsuccessfully) to post from my phone.

I would consider a few months still fairly new.
It happens.

What exactly do you feed her?

They get layer pellets from our local feed store, greens, dried meal worms and occasionally plain yogurt.
Keep the treats to once a week or less.
the layer feed is a balanced complete feed so everything that you feed besides that layer feed is taking away from a balanced diet.

Would you consider veggie and fruit scraps treats?

They are kept in a closed in (sand floor) coop due to predators. We built a tractor and started putting them in for a couple of hours every day..

I had my (almost) year old hen lay an egg like this - and then she laid another smaller egg (though larger than the first one) - later that day. I cracked open the tiny egg and it was weird and rubbery-ish. This all happened a couple days before she hit full on broodiness. It’s unlikely that’s going on with your bird since she seems young. Was there another egg laid later the same day or outside of normal frequency?

No, there wasn’t. We only have 4 hens- this particular one seems to lay thin shell, and then the next day will have “barnacles” on the shell with this weird thing attached to the yolk. Someone here thought it might be a lash egg. She’s laid 3 of them.
I give them colloidal silver in their water (1tsp in their waterer).
