Tiny eggs

I’ve had a barred rock and a white leghorn for a couple years, they were a gift from my neighbor. This spring we got a few orpingtons (The orange colored hens in the picture) and now that they are finally laying, their eggs are so tiny! Is this normal for the breed or will they get bigger? We laugh every time we see the tiny eggs! I posted a picture of the tiny egg next to my other hen’s egg. Also, any idea what type of Orpingtons these are? One of them has yellow legs and the others have white legs.

Yes, they should get bigger as the girls get their egg laying machine lined out. Lots of first eggs are tiny.
I didn’t remember the first eggs from my other two hens being so tiny but they did have some weird things going on like a rubbery egg one time and weirdly shaped!

I have 3 Speckled Sussex pullets that just started laying. Their eggs started out weighing about 1.25oz. 1.5oz. is the lowest weight of small on the egg size chart. After about two months now their eggs are now averaging 1.6oz, just below medium size. If they can hit medium constantly, I’ll be happy.

My second flock, Barred Rocks started out small. Now at 12 months old , they average 1.75oz/50g to 2oz/57g with an occasional 2.25oz/64g.
My first flock of Golden Comets at 12 months old were laying at least Jumbo 2.5oz/71g, averaging 2.75oz/78g. With a few 3oz/85g
When my Comets started to lay I bought over a hundred XL egg cartons online. Well within 3/4 months I couldn't close the carton. So I purchased 140 Jumbo size cartons.
Now I'm back to using the XL cartons and the eggs fit loosely. I can't win. GC
