I have eggs in my homemade bator, due to hatch on the 29th. I had 13 in, but thought only 11 were alive. Still, I left 2 in until I could be sure.

Today I checked one of the 'think it's dead' eggs: movement! Fluttering and a rapidly-pulsing vein! Hurrah!

I'm so glad I didn't just bury it. That would have been a shame.

I did the same thing with the pheasant eggs in my bator. I could see that 13 were good, but couldn't see anything through the shell of the other 8. I decided to leave them in "just in case". Of the ones I have hatching today, some of them are the "just in case" ones, so it's definitely worth it to take the chance.

Good luck with yours!
