TINY Mystery Egg!

Awww! Cute, you never know. He may end up being one strong chicky!
 
Well now lets see. It looks like its' got feathered feet and they are black. Does it have a white spot on it's head? What breeds have you got? Silkies?
The big hairy feet are a clue. Do you have any Hobbits living near by? If it survives I suggest a Hobbit name.
 
Oh my !!!! Well it looks like a chicken to me!!!!! Maybe just a miracle baby from one of the silkies? Keep us posted!!!!
 
He IS a cutie. I hope he makes it. He may just end up being a little gorky looking.

On another note, we had a cowbird lay an egg in one of our nest boxes the other day. It's hard to believe that (a) she even found the boxes, since they are inside the coop, and (b) she thought she was going to fool a chicken with that egg. It was..uh...obvious.
 
I vote Silkie. I have one that looks similar (but its bigger), that just hatched. Do you have a relatively new egg layer?? I know when they first start laying, their eggs are tiny so the chicks are tiny.
 
It sounds to me like you hatched a 'fart' egg. I hope the poor little guy ends up being ok... he sure is cute!
