I have gotten so much pleasure out of this thread. I am loving all the concern and interest folks have for this tiny little one. I also think about little Pippin daily. I know it's immature, but I'm new to chickens and each time I see the words "fart egg" I get a little giggle out of it. I AM A GROWN UP! I promise. I have 3 boys plus a husband and we laugh daily about farts, poops, etc... wizzing in the yard, etc... fart eggs fit into it nicely.

I wonder who is laying them. Think it's the same gal? I wonder if Pippin's dad could/would pipe up about how long he's had his birds, how many, etc... How many laying, all full size birds? I wonder if the hen pushed them under there to protect them.
