Tiny red spots

i candled my eggs today on day 8 and all had no development. I did notice that when we cracked them open after we realized they were not developed that a couple had a very tiny tiny red blood spot. Could this mean they started to develop and something happened or is this just the normal blood spot that can happen in eggs? thank you.

Did you get pics? Have you cracked some preincubation to see if they're fertile? How many had blood spots and how many hens did you gather from?

I'm guessing they were just meat spots from when tiny veins rupture in the hen while laying the egg.
