Seramas,
So you come on here pretty new to BYC, and post pics of the cutest tiniest chickens I ever seen, and then tell us that we can't have any???

Sounds like you have worked pretty hard to produce such small birds. Good Job!! I'm impressed. I don't think anybody is calling you a liar in a polite or rude way. People are very nice on BYC. Its like a big family. You can't blame people for being skeptical. Seeing such small serama is very rare. Of course they are going to ask you a bunch of questions... don't get offended....please.
Thanks!!

What a bummer your not selling any eggs or such I was thinking they would be great for my crib midgerts 4-H starting birds. I will be watching your thread to see if you happen to change your mind any time soon.

ETA: Where are you located? I was hoping to speak to the other 4-H leaders to see how they are liking Seramas for the clubs. I have brought up to mine about getting some for the smaller kids to learn to show with being they are so sweet. But alas my other leader is a bit unsure as she has never been around them. Thanks AkTomboy

I'm looking at the chick photo and see a chick with clubbed feet. Do you have a photo of this chick standing up on it's feet? And for a 5 day old chick, it sure does look awfully wet yet. A five day old chick would be in full down. I know, I've hatched enough of them in the 6, nearly 7 yrs I've been in seramas.

Offended or not, I suspect that someone's trying to snow someone here.

Edited to add the following:

I usually don't speak out like this against another person or their birds, but fellow BYC'ers, I wouldn't buy what this person was selling, or even giving away. Ondra asked for photos, against a scale and a ruler. I'd like to see this too. If in fact you do have birds this small, then I owe you an apology in advance. But don't come on here expecting to claim something and then not be able to or willing to back up your claims. One way to shut up all us disbelievers is post the truth and the photos to back up your comments.

Serama, out of the brooder
Jerry Schexnayder, here. The others won't call you an outright liar but I will. Clear your good name by posting pics of those tiny eggs, cracked open, showing the yolk. Do as Ondra asked, post pics of your birds on a digital scale showing the weight, post a pic of your tinest bird next to a ruler showing the true height. Anyone can hide behind the fence and make all sorts of claims. Noticed your profile offers NO INFORMATION what so ever and you just come out 6 days ago, October 11th. Povide what we ask and I'll issue a public apology. Until you do, consider yourself a liar.

AkTomboy, get in touch, I offer free, pure blooded serama to 4-hers but for the cost of box and shipping. Not a claim like serama out of the brooder but a known fact by hundreds of recipients.

Thank you Julie, Ondra, and Jerry, I didn't believe this either. It was just hard to swollow. Jerry you have been working on these birds for 9 years now and from what I know about you micro seramas are very rare. Thanks for posting, we don't need any one misleading another person about seramas. People if you really want to know about seramas and were to get quality please stop in at SCNA, I don't have the link handy. If anyone knows the link please post it, so everyone can get information on the serama.

Take offense if you want to but we have worked to hard to have someone discredit the bread.
