Tiny worms in chicken poop?

This product was recently approved for laying hens, which means NO egg withdrawal.
You can add this product to their water.

If you are going to use a different product you can dose each straight to the beak or you can make separate scrambled egg portions with the meds squirted on it but either way you really should make sure each bird gets the appropriate dose.
Mixing all of the meds with food at once and just offering it to the flock is not a good idea.
What if one bird scarfs down the portion of the food that has all of the medicine in it and the other birds don't get any? If that happens you pretty much just wasted you time if that makes sense.

If you tell me the exact product you by I will help you calculate the exact dose.
Most wormers are dose on day one then dose again 7-10 days later. And most all wormers except 2, the one above and Wazine are used off label so there is no real safe time period to trash the eggs. That being said some people trash the eggs for two weeks some people don't trash them at all.

I'll be using Safeguard (ferebendazole). And yes, I already planned on taking one bird aside at a time and making sure they eat a whole dose before moving onto the next bird. After 10 days I'll dose again. I've taken a look at that thread earlier and that med looks very expensive and this is the same thing but isn't for use in water. :)

I treated every bird today! We have a run, an inside coop part and an outside coop part. The treated birds were the inside part, the untreated birds were in the smaller outside part, and the bird being treated was out in the run. A smooth system! I put it on scraps of bread for them and all 6 of the pullets gobbled it down, although the rooster would pace on the other side of where the pullets are and circle my hand before taking a bit, etc. He's a pretty good roo but it's interesting how the mentality is different. In 10 days I'll redose.

Congrats! Sounds like you have an awesome set up!

There are around 60.000 species of worms, some are good, other not so, and a few are truly evil for both chicken and little blonde girls. Obviously there are clear differences between them that grant an specific status and a specialist can spot. If there are some good macro photos of this worms, I could take a look, yup. Why not? Most probable result is: "the animal is unidentifiable unless we have a microscope", so we have nothing to lose.
