yes, i hatched eggs and i was rooting for some girls so she can get some buddies that i can slowly introduce her to when they were older, but they all turned out to be cockerels so that’s a whole other dilema i have to deal with since their fighting roosters and probably will kill eachother to death :’). I want to get her another hen but i’m scared for the other chicken, l don’t know how she’ll react or how the rooster will react either since it’s been them for awhile, the rooster showed aggressive behavior towards my chicks and attacked one but that might just be because they’re cockerels. So it's just her and a rooster?
So, is she being attacked by the rooster? Or overmated at all? 1 rooster and 1 hen isn't the best ratio.yes, i hatched eggs and i was rooting for some girls so she can get some buddies that i can slowly introduce her to when they were older, but they all turned out to be cockerels so that’s a whole other dilema i have to deal with since their fighting roosters and probably will kill eachother to death :’). she usually hangs out back and i have a pretty clear view of them, i’ve never seen my rooster attack her, usually he sees something on her feet and tries to peck at it or something on her face but that’s really it, after he sees it’s just dirt or something he stops. When he tries to step on her he usually does his little wing dance( i don’t know what to call it sorry) and she fluffs up and faces him and he backs down or i yell his name and he goes to scratch in another place. So, is she being attacked by the rooster? lol I like little wing dance. Is she acting abnormally in any way? I think she's fine.she usually hangs out back and i have a pretty clear view of them, i’ve never seen my rooster attack her, usually he sees something on her feet and tries to peck at it or something on her face but that’s really it, when he tries to step on her he usually does his little wing dance( i don’t know what to call it sorry) and she fluffs up and faces him and he backs down or i yell his name and he goes to scratch in another place.
nope she’s currently asleep on my headlol I like little wing dance. Is she acting abnormally in any way? I think she's fine.
Yeah no problem! Some of my chickens are picky about water too lol. I give them hose water and they seem to be fine, none have ever gotten sick. Keep me posted if the spots get worse and good luck on you adventure in finding her a friend and tricking that smarty pants!nope she’s currently asleep on my head
she’s been acting fine, only thing strange about her is her pickiness for water, she won’t drink tap water, she likes the hose water but i don’t know how to feel about all the chemicals in there, she likes bottled water but i can’t always give her that, i mean how does she even know the difference? it’s all water!is it maybe the temperature? hmph i’ll look into that, maybe i’ll have to put sink water into a water bottle maybe that’ll trick her. I’ll keep you updated on the tiny yellow spots i see, that’s how the other ones fowl pox started, hopefully it isn’t fowl pox and it’s just some scabs, she does enjoy going in the bushes and usually comes out scratched. We’ll see! thank you for responding
