Tip of beak cracked off

Hi -- I have a 3 year old Polish Hen who has the tip of her beak cracked through. It's not completely broken off, but it's cracked all the way through. She doesn't seem to be in any apparent distress, and she is eating. I tried to touch it and she didn't appreciate it too much, but that's pretty normal for her.

Do I need to be worried about this? Is is just like a cracked fingernail or toenail?

If it's not hanging off or bleeding then just leave her be. It is just like a cracked fingernail, and will grow out in time. : )

I agree. Last fall, I noticed one of my Ameraucana roos had a huge chip in his upper beak. It's now grown right out...no problem!
