I use a leaf rake being careful to not push them with it just keeping it behind them to keep them motivated to go in the right direction. The Bamboo stick idea is the same without tines.

I only feed them in the coop, so when fun time is over I carry the coffee can full of food and top off their feeder. They now see the can and start toward to coop, so by the time I fill the feeder they're all in. Of course it's easier at dusk because they naturally want to go to bed. Good luck!
