Tips for Incubator Easy Cleanup?

I was wondering...any suggestions for making the clean up after a hatch a little easier? Can you line the bottom of the incubator with paper towels? I had a big mess last time that I'm hoping to avoid. I go on lockdown tomorrow and need to get everything all prepped! Thanks in advance.

Try using those rubbery shelf liners. I see people one here using those to help keep down the mess. I know I am going to try it with this next batch.

well I really do not think its easy too keep things clean! LOL... you can try egg cartons... we have used them and they do wonders! just make sure to cute a hold in the bottom of each egg place in the carton... thats what we did the year before last and it helped loads....

How would the eggs hatch being confined and in an up position instead of laying down?

Works extremely well. I have used this method many times and saves a lot of mess.

I lined the bottom of my incubator with papertowels and it made clean up SUPER easy. I've heard of that or rubber shelf-liner (just bleach after each hatch). Good luck with you hatch!

In my styro incubator I used the rubbery shelf liner. Picked up a roll at the Dollar Store. My other incubator is a Brinsea 20 ECO and it's made for easy clean up. Filled the sink with soapy water and put the bottom and basket in to soak for little bit and then took a sponge to it. Rinsed, dried and ready to go again. It was very easy. Some people have even posted they put the Brinsea bottom and basket in their dishwasher... now that's easy clean up for ya
